Grinch-y Halloween

We're being real Grinches about Halloween this year. Don's been not feeling great (he's better now), his work has been crazy-making the last couple of weeks, and well..... we decided to pass on Halloween. So - the house will be dark, we bought no candy (my diet says *thank you!*) the cat will be under the bed (the doorbell or the sound of feet on the front walkway send her there) and we will be out. As in, we're going to a little hole-in-the-wall Mexican/surfer restaurant, Taco Surf, where a friend is playing/singing tonite. By the time we get back from fish tacos and music, the little hobgoblins should all be home counting their treats. Hope you all have a spooky good time tonite.

P.S. Were I to choose a costume, I'd go as Sarah Palin - I've got the hair, the glasses..... and I can mimic that screech! (oops, no red leather jacket ....)

We never get any trick-or-treaters anyway...our house is on a street with just 2 other houses. Next door is an elderly couple and across the street is a couple with a 10 month old (and they just moved in not long ago). When Logan's old enough, we're taking him to Jon's parent's neighborhood...plenty of cute brick houses to beg for candy at! Hope you two have fun tonight and we demand pics of the Sarah Palin costume!

P.S. Sandy, you too can own a red leather jacket for the low, low price of $150,000!! :)
